We remove barriers to sport for young people from a refugee background

Pushing Barriers is a not-for-profit charity working in south-west Brisbane and Ipswich. We help young people from a refugee background to connect to community by participating in community club sport.

We provide financial assistance for fees and equipment, transport to training and competition, and mentoring to help young people aged 12 to 18 to participate in the sport of their choice through a club.

We have supported more than 200 young people to play sport in south-west Brisbane and Ipswich.
