Our mission
Connecting Refugee Youth to the community through sport
Pushing Barriers seeks to empower refugee youth in SE Qld, Australia through playing sport. Sport is a powerful tool used in strengthening communities. With your on-going support, we can encourage our community to be active, connected and healthy!
Your partnership can help us achieve a far greater impact. Help make Australian sport more inclusive by creating equal opportunity for refugee youth.

KPI Sports believes access to community sport is something every child in Australia should have, regardless of their background. In 2021, the KPI Sports Pushing Barriers Scholarship provided funding to 6 players across football and basketball. As a dedicated, volunteer-run organisation, Pushing Barriers provides financial relief to cover the costs of participating in community sports, including transportation, liaison and advocacy services. KPI Sports is proud to be supporting these inspirational young people and see them develop throughout their early sporting careers. Pushing Barriers is an exceptional organisation with great potential to continue to grow with the support of KPI Sports.
